Our history

Saunderson House was founded in 1968 and has maintained its independent advisory status, consistently providing the highest professional standards of advice to clients.

David Lovell became the first of our current directors to join from Commercial Union and was followed two years later by Tony Overy.

Nick Fletcher, our current Chief Executive, joined from American Express in 1993. The model of a professional firm giving truly independent advice to professionals in the City was then developed and strengthened in 1998 with the acquisition of Minet Consultancy Services, including current director Ian McNally.

In 2001, Saunderson House was purchased by IFG Group and, two years later, Nick Fletcher became Chief Executive. In 2005, Mark Bogard, a Slaughter and May trained lawyer and the CEO of IFG's UK operations, joined the board of Saunderson House as shareholder representative.

Over the last decade or so, we are very pleased to have grown as an organisation because, for us, it is proof that our offering is needed. Our growing number of valued clients is testimony to the quality of our service and we continue to attract and retain the highest quality staff to meet our clients’ needs.
