Saunderson House provides specialist independent pensions advice to private clients as part of their comprehensive financial planning, to trustees, employers and their directors and staff.

Successive legislation to restrict the tax benefits of pension contributions, investment funds and ultimate benefits has resulted in a complex web of legislation and HMRC manuals which can only be navigated under expert guidance.

Our experience has shown that we can add significant value through our knowledge of the rules. Some new rules have increased flexibility, particularly those relating to options at retirement. Clients are no longer forced to draw a set income at retirement and this provides considerable scope to plan more effectively with resultant mitigation of inheritance tax and deferral of income tax.


Employee Benefits Service

This service provides advice to employers and employees on appropriate pension arrangements whether as company schemes or group personal pensions.

Investor protection measures have placed a considerable administrative and compliance burden upon employers and trustees with significant penalties for breaches. We are able to advise on compliance issues and implement alternative management arrangements which may be simpler to administer and avoid much of the legislation.
